Beautiful antique edition of “Pas de Charge”, a lively morceau de salon composed by Tito Mattei (1841–1914), Italian pianist and composer. This version for piano four hands (à quatre mains) was published in Paris by Alphonse Leduc, one of the most prestigious 19th-century French music publishers.

Dedicated “À mon ami Henry Bianchi”, the score reflects the elegant and dramatic salon music style of the late Romantic period, with virtuosic passages and expressive dynamics typical of Mattei’s compositions.

The cover features bold typography and a beautiful engraved title page showing a galloping cavalry scene — an allusion to the “charge” rhythm and energy of the piece.
