This collection features three charming antique French religious holy cards, often referred to as chromolithographs or prayer cards, dating from the 1920s.

One card, a First Communion souvenir, specifically notes its observance on May 18, 1922, offering a precise historical context. It depicts a young girl kneeling in her First Communion dress before a saintly figure and another child, with the inscription 'O Seigneur, en ce beau jour de ma Première Communion, je me mets sous votre protection avec tous ceux que j'aime' (O Lord, on this beautiful day of my First Communion, I place myself under your protection with all those I love).

Another card showcases a tender scene of the Madonna and Child with an additional young figure, surrounded by an ornate frame and delicate floral motifs. Its devotional prayer begins: 'O Mère très pure, soyez pendant toute ma vie ma protectrice assurée et ma fidèle directrice' (O purest Mother, be throughout my life my sure protector and my faithful guide).

The third card beautifully illustrates the Holy Family – Mary, Joseph, and the young Jesus – in a serene outdoor setting, bearing the hopeful message 'Ayez confiance, c'est Moi!' (Have confidence, it is I!).

All cards were published by Bouasse Jeune in Paris, a renowned name in religious art. These devotional pieces offer a glimpse into early 20th-century Catholic piety and serve as beautiful historical artifacts.
