This collection features two distinct vintage religious holy cards, often used as devotional prints. The first card, a sepia-toned image, depicts 'Les Disciples d'Emmaüs' (The Disciples of Emmaus), showing Jesus breaking bread with two disciples. It bears the publisher's name 'Bouasse-Jeune'.
The second card, a color print with gilded accents, illustrates a scene with the Child Jesus presenting the Eucharist to Mary, while an angel watches. Below the image, the inscription reads: 'Jésus, Pain des Forts, Manne des faibles Nourriture des Elus, je vous adore!' (Jesus, Bread of the Strong, Manna of the Weak, Nourishment of the Chosen, I adore you!).
The reverse of the color card contains a handwritten inscription dated '4 Mai 1913' (May 4, 1913), a 'Souvenir d'un beau jour, offert par une petite amie qui ne t'oublira jamais. Pense à moi, toi aussi Marie Gouret' (Souvenir of a beautiful day, offered by a little friend who will never forget you. Think of me, you too Marie Gouret). The reverse of the sepia card is a printed 'Souvenir de ma Communion Solennelle' (Souvenir of my Solemn Communion) dated 'Le 27 Mai 1939' (May 27, 1939), from Notre-Dame la-Grande de Neuville, for Marie-Thérèse Rivière.
