These two captivating vintage French religious holy cards date back to the 1900s, offering a glimpse into early 20th-century Catholic devotion. The first card features a beautiful image of a statue representing 'N. D des Malades' (Our Lady of the Sick) on a pedestal, with a charming depiction of 'Église Saint Blaise à Vichy' (Saint Blaise Church in Vichy) below. The text 'priez pour nous' (pray for us) accompanies the image of Our Lady, and the date '1904' is visible near the church.
The second prayer card illustrates the revered apparition of the Virgin Mary to Saint Bernadette in the grotto, surrounded by vibrant roses and a luminous glow. Saint Bernadette is shown kneeling in prayer, holding a lit candle, while a small church can be seen in the distant background. The inscription reads 'A la Grotte bénie j'ai prié pour vous' (At the blessed Grotto I prayed for you).
The reverse sides contain various 'INVOCATIONS' and a 'PRIERE A MARIE IMMACULÉE' (Prayer to Immaculate Mary) composed by Pope Pius X, further cementing its early 20th-century origin.
