These two exquisite antique French religious cards from the 1900s depict scenes of First Communion, featuring Jesus Christ ministering to kneeling children. Each chromo, with its distinct decorative, irregular border, presents a reverent image infused with spiritual significance, making them cherished mementos.

The first card, numbered 473, bears the French inscription: 'Venez à Jésus Hostie - pour vivre de lui. Enfants, il vous appelle, venez manger ce pain qui nourrit, boire le vin qui fortifie. (Pie X.)' This translates to: 'Come to Jesus Host - to live by him. Children, he calls you, come eat this bread that nourishes, drink the wine that strengthens. (Pius X.)' It highlights the central role of the Eucharist.

The second card, numbered 474, features the text: 'Il est pour chaque Enfant un jour béni de Dieu, c'est celui où pour la première fois, il lui est donné d'approcher de la table des anges. (Mgr de la Bouillerie.)' This translates as: 'It is for every Child a day blessed by God, it is the one where for the first time, he is given to approach the table of angels. (Mgr de la Bouillerie.)' These beautiful pieces are perfect for collectors of religious ephemera or as unique additions to creative projects.
