This antique French postcard features the inscription “Porte-Bonheur Souvenir” (Good Luck Souvenir) and a striking design of a four-leaf clover, each leaf containing the portrait of a young woman in early 20th-century style. The portraits are delicately tinted, with subtle coloring that enhances the sepia-toned background. The clover motif symbolizes luck and affection, making the postcard both decorative and sentimental. The bottom of the card bears a handwritten dedication, adding to its authentic charm.

Printed in France at the beginning of the 1900s, the postcard is adorned with a green 5-centime French stamp depicting the allegorical figure of “La Semeuse” (the sower), a classic design of the Third Republic. The composition, blending symbolic imagery and portraiture, reflects the popular aesthetics of early 20th-century postcards. The overall piece represents both a keepsake of affection and an example of finely produced illustrated ephemera from the Belle Époque period.
