1860s - Stunning newspaper "Le monde illustré" with beautiful engravings - French newspaper from 1867 - 16 pages

Le Monde Illustré was a French illustrated weekly newspaper published in the 19th century. It was founded in 1843 by Louis-Jules Hetzel and was one of the most popular newspapers of its time. It featured articles on politics, literature, science, and art, as well as illustrations and photographs. The paper also included stories from around the world, including reports from foreign correspondents.

The paper was known for its high quality illustrations and photographs. It featured works by some of the most renowned artists of the time such as Honoré Daumier, Gustave Doré, and Jean-Léon Gérôme. The paper also included engravings from famous paintings such as those by Eugène Delacroix and Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres.

Le Monde Illustré was an important source of information for its readers during the 19th century. It provided them with news from around the world as well as a glimpse into the culture and art of the time. The paper ceased publication in 1914 due to financial difficulties but it remains an important part of French history and culture today.

Please note that it is a very old paper, a thin paper worn by time what it makes it wonderful to me. This newspaper will be sent folded in half.
